Ultraman

We love Kamen Rider. We love Super Sentai. I know I love Ultraman.

Been a while since I've watched it (watched the original as a child with my father), so I decided to watch a little bit of Mebius, and I love it.

So lets talk about it. Who else watches (or has watched) Ultraman? What do you guys think about it?

Truthfully, i dont like gigantic monster fighting each other in the middle of city, woods or wat so ever (Even hated the Super Sentai when the monster grew humongous, the rangers called their mecha - You got the point right?) . The point it, I dont like gigantic things but IN MY WHOLE life time, only one ULTRAMAN series that im fully tangled with

Its Ultraman Nexus. Mybe because the storyline most likely are targetting for adults rather than children. Check it out at wikipedia ^^. It focus more on character building, not the monster and this X-FACTOR caught me. Watch it till end while the other ULTRAMAN series... most likely I only watched the 3-5 first episode only (got bored of it - Too childish - no offense guys!)

Even so, I do watched the ULTRAMAN movies... wasnt the latest is Ultraman Mebius and Ultra Brothers? Forgive me if im mistaken, im less on ultraman, more to a kamen rider fans.

Ultraman Tiga! My favourite! Well, in September a new movie of Ultraman will come!!! It's call "DECISIVE BATTLE! THE 8 SUPER ULTRA BROTHERS (Daikessen! Cho Urutora Hachi Urutora Kyodai)"!! Yeah!!! There's Ultraman Tiga too!!

i like ultraman taro n ultra seven

when i was in primaryschool, i have watched talizman ( all of ultraman were here n taro was a child but he is the strongest )

my first ultraman series was not made in Japan though. it's the australian production Ultraman : Towards the Future aka Ultraman Great.

the storyline and music ochestration was superb that caught my attention

So far can't remember about them(the story and the characters), my favourite will be Gaia, Tiga and Dyna(arranged in ascending order).

nexus is good too. it has this unique feeling in the plot. i love it coz it's more drama alike rather than 'whoa, giant monsters! ultraman, come! fight!'.
tiga was also a bit like that, although some of the episodes are childish. but what makes tiga special is, he also fight in human size form, fight in altenate dimension, cool nisemono villian(fake) like evil tiga, met eiji tsuburaya & the original ultraman, and daigo@nagano is a johnny's

Yeah, I also like TIGA because it was awesome! I even bought the Hong Kong comic which is about Ultraman Tiga. It was so famous back then! But i have a blurry memory bout him now, so i cant talk much regarding the plot. But i remember the opening song, sang by V6 (daigo is in this group right?)... Take Me Higher? Plz correct me if im wrong :mrgreen:

Yes,it's take me higher. And this whole song last 6 minutes, which is unusually longer than other songs. It's a nice song. No comment regarding whether Daigo was in this group or not.

I like the ED of Ultraman Mebius and the Ultra Brothers, "Mirai" da ke? Still remember some of the lyrics, "Ginga no hate, kibou no hikari~"

BTW, my favourite ultraman songs for the time being is still from Nexus, which is Eiyuu (Hero) by doa. Otoko nara dareka no tameni tsuyoku nare = If u are a real men, u'll be strongger for others. Im sory if the translation was wrong

The funniest Ultraman story that I ever watch is Ultraman Zearth 1 & 2. The first movie, MYDO thought the monster weakness is fire and they decided to use fire. After that the commander say, "OK, after it's weaken by fire-- It's not weaken, look!" The monster drink the fire. The funny part is when they said while looking at the monster from their Skyfish, "It swallowed the fire!" After that the monster use flame thrower to Skyfish/MYDO/them and they said "It spitted the fire!" and the Skyfish lose again :lol:

The 2nd movie is when Hayata (Ultraman) want to transform into Ultraman, he mistake a spoon instead of his transforming device. KAKAKA! :lol:
