Not that they're bad, but they're everywhere these days, very mainstream, and are talked about all over the place. I think he means to talk about some good anime that don't the same treatment.

Gundam Wing are better than prevs gundam series.

aside from naruto, bleach, one pein and dragon ball my fav are:

claymore,
toshokan senshou(library war),
ghost hunt,
kekkaishi,
shonen onmyouji,
Transformers Galaxy Force,
& definitely crayon shin-chan.
